I've been using Nexium 5mg DR Powder for Suspension for treating my child's acid reflux issues. The medication has provided some relief, but I'm still figuring out the best way to administer the powder. Has anyone else tried this and has some tips? Also, has anyone experienced any worrisome side effects or know if there are long-term risks? The package says it's rare, but it's an anxiety to think about.

I've had no issues with Nexium so far. It's helped my child immensely, and I haven't noticed any side effects. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Please don't mix Nexium into yogurt. I tried that once and it was a disaster.

I noticed some bloody stools when my kid was on Nexium. It was terrifying, but the doctor said it could be a sign of CDAD. It turned out to be nothing serious, but it's worth being cautious.

Has anyone had issues with electrolyte imbalances? I've read that it can cause some serious symptoms like mood changes and abnormal heartbeats. I'm not sure what to do if I spot any of these.

I felt like it was a bit of a hassle to get the kid to take it. It's powder so when mixed with applesauce or a mix it was a lot easier.

I've had some issues with severe dizziness when using Nexium. It was scary at first, but my doctor assured me it's a rare side effect. Make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid sudden movements.

I've used Nexium for my kid too. It's helpful but make sure to mix it with a bit of water or formula to make it easier to swallow. It's a bit messy but works well.

Nexium has been a lifesaver for my child's acid reflux. However, I noticed some mild stomach upset at first, but it went away after a few days. Make sure to follow the dosage instructions carefully. If you're worried about side effects, keep a log of any symptoms and discuss them with your doctor.
