I've been prescribed Purixan 20mg/ml Oral Suspension for my leukemia treatment, and I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. How have you managed the side effects? Did you experience any of the rare but serious conditions mentioned, like Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma? What were your doctor's recommendations? Any tips or advice for dealing with fatigue, diarrhea, or nausea? I'd love to share and learn from our collective experiences.

I had to stop taking it because of the bleeding issues. I had horrible bruises that wouldn’t heal, so the doctor switched me to a different medication.

I've been on Purixan for a few months now, and the fatigue has been the toughest part. I've found that listening to my body and resting when I need to is crucial. Also, staying hydrated and eating small, frequent meals has helped with the nausea and diarrhea. Good luck!

Just starting out on this. What can I expect in the first few weeks?

Remember to keep a symptom diary. It'll help you understand your body better and give your doctor a clearer picture of what you're experiencing. It's one of the best tips I got from my oncologist.

Purixan saved my life, literally! But man, the side effects were rough. I had to quit due to liver problems, but I know it was necessary during treatment. Doctors recommended frequent blood tests and monitoring, which helped catch the problem early.

Watch out for blood sugar levels. One time I felt faint and it turned out my blood sugar was really low. Not fun at all. Always keep some glucose tablets or candy on hand.

I’ve had a pretty good experience with Purixan. The nausea and diarrhea are manageable with a good diet and hydration. It’s important to stay in close contact with your doctor and report any unusual symptoms immediately. They can adjust your dosage or switch you to a different medication if needed.

I had a friend who took this and ended up with some really severe allergic reactions. It's scary stuff. If you start feeling anything like that, get to a doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry!
