I recently started taking Quetiapine ER 150mg Tablets for bipolar disorder. I was hoping to find others who have experience with this medication. I've read about the potential side effects, especially the more severe ones, and I'm curious to hear about your experiences. Have any of you dealt with the more serious side effects, or have you mostly experienced the more common ones like dizziness and drowsiness? What helped you manage these side effects? I'm also interested in hearing about how well it's worked for you in managing your symptoms.

I've been on Quetiapine ER for over a year now. The side effects were rough in the beginning—dizziness, drowsiness, and weight gain. But I've adjusted to them. It's actually helped stabilize my moods really well. Like, really well.

I've been on Quetiapine ER for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. My manic episodes have decreased significantly, but I've had some issues with weight gain and increased appetite. It's been a bit challenging, but the benefits outweigh the side effects for me.

I was on Quetiapine ER 150mg for a year. The worst part was the weight gain—put on almost 30 pounds. Also, was pretty drowsy all the time in the first few months. But it helped stabilize my moods. I ended up switching to another medication because of the weight gain.

Quetiapine ER worked well for my depression, but not so much for my mania. It was a bit of a bummer, but my psychiatrist switched me to a different med, and now I feel like I've got a better handle on things.

Just started Quetiapine and haven't really had any serious side effects yet. A bit of dizziness but nothing major. How long did it take for it to really start working for you?

If only it didn't make me so darn sleepy. I feel like a zombie some days, but it's worth it for the mood stability. I just wish there was a way to avoid those late-afternoon naps.

I heard it can be pretty tough to get off of Quetiapine. Anyone have any tips on tapering off? I'm planning to switch to a different medication soon, but I'm nervous about the process.

I just have to say thanks to the people who mentioned weight gain. I was getting pretty worried about it but I know it's common and it's good for us to be open about it. I'm making sure I eat healthy and exercise to try and combat it.
