I've been struggling with insomnia for years and have tried countless remedies, but nothing seemed to work consistently. My doctor recently prescribed Quviviq 25mg Tablets, and I've been taking them for about a month now. In this thread, I want to share my experience so far, discuss the potential side effects, and hear from others who might have tried this medication or have insights to share. I'm curious to know if anyone else has found it helpful or has had different experiences. I've noticed that it helps me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer, which is a huge relief. However, I've also experienced some side effects like headaches and feeling a bit tired the next day. I've read about more serious side effects, so I'm being cautious and keeping an eye out for any unusual symptoms. Has anyone else had similar experiences or concerns?

I'm glad to hear it's working for some of you, but I had a really bad experience. I took it for two nights and on the second night I had this weird hallucination right before falling asleep. Like a shadow moving in the corner of my eye. Scared the crap out of me. I stopped taking it immediately and told my doc. Now I'm afraid to try anything else.

I had a similar reaction to this post. I couldn't move when I woke up and it was completely frightening. I'm glad I read this before taking it again. Thank you, OP, for giving us this warning. I wish I had read this first.

I wanted to try Quviviq, but considering the potential side effects, I’m just going to stick with my sleep hygiene routine. I’ve been doing better with keeping a consistent sleep schedule and avoiding screens before bed. It’s been slow, but it’s working.

I tried Quviviq and it was a complete failure. I felt like I was sleepwalking the next day. I couldn't stay awake at work and I am just so glad I was able to stop it before anything bad happened. I don't know how you guys are staying on this. I have to ask... have you guys seen your doctor or are you all just going by what you read on the internet?

I did some research and it seems like Quviviq is a bit different from traditional sleep meds. It’s not just a sedative but helps your brain switch from awake to asleep mode. I think that’s why some people might not experience the same side effects as with other meds.

This is why I avoid these new sleep meds. They try to help you sleep, but they also mess with your brain. I'll stick to my old-fashioned melatonin and sleep hygiene routine,

I've been on Quviviq for a week now, and it's been a game-changer. I fall asleep within 20 minutes and sleep through the night. No more waking up at 3 AM! just make sure you don't take it too close to your bedtime, otherwise you'll be groggy the next morning.

I was surprised by how well it worked for me. I've tried so many other sleep meds, and they either didn't work or made me feel awful the next day. Not to mention the weird side effects. But Quviviq actually helped me sleep, and I didn't feel groggy at all during the day. I take it about an hour before bed and it's been a lifesaver. Just be sure to read the warnings and side effects carefully before starting.

Honestly, any medication with side effects like hallucinations and temporary paralysis sounds like a deal-breaker. I think I’ll pass on this one and try to find a more natural solution.

I’m curious if anyone has tried Quviviq in combination with other sleep aids? I’ve been thinking about adding melatonin since I’ve heard that it can work well together, but I’m worried about potential interactions.
