I've been taking Ranolazine 1000mg ER Tablets for about six months now to manage my chronic angina. It's been a game-changer in terms of reducing the frequency of my angina attacks. I used to have them multiple times a day, but now, it's rare to have more than one a week. The medication works by helping my heart use oxygen more efficiently, which I believe has significantly improved my quality of life. However, I've experienced some side effects like dizziness and occasional headaches. My doctor told me these are pretty common, but I'd still like to know if anyone else has found ways to manage them. I've read about some severe side effects, all of which are rare. For example, blood in the urine or sudden weight gain could indicate kidney problems. I've researched extensively online but am worried about the potential risk of an abnormal heartbeat. I want to hear your thoughts on this medication, especially if you've been on it for a long time, and if you have any advice for managing the side effects.

I've had no side effects! I feel great. None of those serious ones on the leaflet at least!

I've been taking Ranolazine for a few weeks now and have noticed some dizziness, but nothing too bad. I'm just curious how long it takes for most people to see a reduction in angina attacks. I’m trying to be patient, but it's tough.

I was really worried about the kidney problems side effects, but my doctor assured me that they are rare and to just keep an eye on any changes in my urine output. I've been fine so far, so I'm not too concerned.

I had no idea this medication could cause kidney problems. I'm not sure it's worth the risk to me. Has anyone experienced this who can talk me through the symptoms and severity?
