Relistor 8mg/0.4ml, Inj: Experiences with Opioid-Induced Constipation Treatment?
I've been prescribed Relistor to help with constipation caused by my opioid pain medication. Has anyone else used this injection, and if so, what was your experience like? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any side effects or tips for managing them. The potential side effects list is quite long, and I'd like to know how common they really are. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I wish I had known about this sooner. I've been struggling with constipation for months, and my doctor just prescribed this. Hoping for the best!
I had some issues with severe diarrhea. It was bad enough to worry me, and I contacted my doctor. It turned out to be a stomach infection and not the Relistor — but it showed me how important it is to know the signs of a problem!
I read up on it and saw the same side effects you mentioned. So I opted for daily gentle exercise and a fiber diet - working like a charm so far.
I've been using Relistor for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. It worked within hours the first time, and I've had no serious side effects. Just some mild stomach upset and a bit of sweating, mostly because I was anxious. My docs said this was normal. I get the injection on a schedule, and it’s been working, but you could ask your doctor to let you administer them, if it’s manageable for you.
My experience was good. A little gas, some dizziness, but I just took it easy for a few hours and I was fine. Nothing major.
