I've been taking Remeron 30mg Tablets (Mirtazapine) for about three months now to treat my depression, and I must say, it's been a bit of a journey. The main reason I started taking it was because of its effects on both mood and sleep. I've always struggled with insomnia when I'm in a depressive episode, so the idea of a medication that could help with both seemed like a no-brainer.

At first, the drowsiness was an issue, but my doctor recommended taking it at bedtime, which has really helped. I wake up feeling more refreshed, which is a huge improvement. However, I did experience some side effects like increased appetite and weight gain, which is frustrating. I'm trying to manage it with diet and exercise, but it's a challenge.

I've also read about the potential for more serious side effects, like serotonin syndrome and severe skin reactions. It's a bit scary, but my doctor assured me that these are rare and that I should call immediately if I notice any symptoms. I'm hoping to eventually find a balance where the benefits outweigh the downsides, but so far, it's a mixed bag.

I'm a big fan of Remeron but the increased appetite was something I wasn't prepared for. I now have to double my exercise routine and watch what I eat. It's frustrating, but as long as my depression is managed, I can deal with it.

I'm a bit wary of all the possible side effects. It feels like a lot. Anyone have any tips on how to manage them? I don't want to end up in the ER.

I've been on Remeron for a while too, and the weight gain was really tough. I found that switching to a lower dose and taking it earlier in the evening helped with the drowsiness without affecting my sleep as much. Plus, I've had better luck with diet and exercise at this dose. Just remember, it's important to communicate closely with your doctor about side effects and any lifestyle changes you might need to make.

I've been on it for 2 months and it's been a miracle for my depression. I've gained some weight but honestly, I feel like I can finally function again. It's worth it.

I actually had a really severe allergic reaction within the first week of taking Remeron. My throat swelled up and I couldn't breathe properly. I had to go to the ER, and it was terrifying. I can't stress enough how important it is to be cautious and know the signs of a severe allergic reaction.

My only complaint about Remeron is the dry mouth. It's brutal. I keep a water bottle by my bed and drink more water than I usually do. But it's a small price to pay for feeling better. Have you all tried any remedies?

It's interesting how Remeron also helps with sleep. I've been taking it for my depression for a while and it really does help me sleep better. I don't wake up as often and feel more refreshed in the mornings.

Everyone seems to forget to mention the weird dreams that come with this med. I've had the most vivid nightmares and it's pretty unsettling. It's like a whole new world of sleep issues added to the mix.

I've had no issues with Remeron but I'm worried about serotonin syndrome. Anyone experienced this? What were the symptoms?
