I've been prescribed Retacrit 2000unit Inj, 1ml for chronic kidney disease, and it's definitely helped with my fatigue, but the side effects are no joke. Has anyone else experienced irritations at the injection site? I've tried rotating the site but it doesn't seem to help much. Anyone have a good solution or a better cream to use on it? And also, anyone here with experience using this medicine for HIV? I'd like to hear your stories.

Retacrit is a godsend. It’s reduced my need for blood transfusions dramatically. Just make sure to monitor your blood pressure regularly, as it can spike unexpectedly. I’ve had to adjust my dosage a few times to keep it under control.

I switched to Retacrit because I was getting really sick of the transfusions. I'd rather just inject myself, but now I have major fatigue. Has anyone else experienced this? It's like 3pm and I'm done for the day.

Be careful with the injection site irritation. I once had a bad reaction that turned into something really nasty, so if it gets worse don't hesitate to call your doctor.

Personally, the muscle spasms were the worst for me. I had to go to the doctor and get some muscle relaxers to handle them. They said it was just a side effect of the medicine, but it was awful. I might have to stop using it

I've been on Retacrit for a while now due to my cancer treatments and it has been a life saver reducing my blood transfusions. I've had some mild side effects like headache and muscle pain, but nothing too severe. I use a warm compress on the injection site and it helps with the irritation.
