I've been using Retin-A 0.01% Gel for about three months now, and I've seen some significant improvements in my acne. However, the journey has not been without its challenges. Initially, I experienced quite a bit of irritation and dryness, but my dermatologist assured me that this is normal as the skin adjusts. I've had to incorporate a good moisturizer and sunscreen into my daily routine to manage these side effects. I've also had some mild burning and stinging, but it's subsided over time. Has anyone else experienced similar side effects, and how did you manage them? I'm curious to hear about other people's experiences with Retin-A and any tips they might have for making the process smoother.

I use it for acne scars! I started using it when I was 25 years old and I still use it. It helps with acne, acne scars, and anti-aging. I will use it for as long as I can to enjoy these benefits.

I've had great success using Retin-A for acne scars. It helped get rid of them and keep my skin looking fresh. I recommend using it at night, starting with every other night, and gradually increasing to nightly use. My skin adjusted to it quite well and I experienced only minimal irritation. I often see contradictions online, but my derm said that it's better to use it over your entire face and not just on the spots with acne. That way, you will avoid uneven skin texture. However, if you have any serious concerns, I think it's best to speak to your derm. You might find that another type of medication is right for you and your skin.

I have to warn you all: Derms are not always right for you, be careful.

Be patient with this stuff.

I can't comment on the chemical peels but I am pretty sure this purging phase can last a couple of months. In my case, it took about 2-3 months to completely kick in. Retin-A takes time to show results and patience is key. However, if the purging phase is becoming unbearable, please consult with your derm to see if they have any suggestions to help with the purging phase.
