I've been using Retin-A 0.1% Cream for about a month now to treat my acne, and while I've seen some improvement, I've also experienced some concerning side effects. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for minimizing these side effects. The burning sensation is pretty intense, and my skin feels like blisters are forming. I'm a bit worried. It's supposed to help with fine wrinkles, dark spots, and rough skin caused by sun damage, but the side effects have been pretty bad.

Retin-A is tough on the skin at first. Are you using a moisturizer with it? Sometimes people make the mistake of applying Retin-A without a moisturizer or sunscreen, especially at night. That can lead to a lot of irritation and dryness. Try a gentle moisturizer before bed.

I’ve seen some real changes in my skin and the acne is going away but I have to watch for irritation. Definitely a lot of redness for a while but I feel like it was worth it. I have to use it less often and also use a sunscreen in the morning.

My skin reacted really badly to Retin-A. I had to stop using it completely. I switched to a gentler retinoid and it's been much better. I was very disappointed but it was not worth it.

I’ve also had the blisters thing and I think it comes from the very thin skin around my eyes. The worst was the peeling of the skin. I moisturized and got better and then started using it only a few times a week. Also I stopped using it at night. The morning application was much better..

I had a similar experience at first. It sounds like you're having a pretty strong reaction. I found that switching to every other day helped a lot. Itching and warmth can be a sign of irritation, so give your skin some time to adjust. I was pretty frustrated, but I've got good results now.

You should see a doctor if the burning is really bad but it always takes a bit of time to get used to it. Also, at least in my case, the moisturizer thing is key. Use a really lubricating one before bed.

Seems like a lot of side effects. I wish my doctor had warned me about them. Maybe it is worth going to a dermatologist instead.

I've been using Retin-A for a few months now, and I've had some redness and dryness. I started using a hyaluronic acid serum before applying the Retin-A, and it's made a huge difference. It's really helped with the dryness and irritation. Give it a try!

It's a tough medication. The benefits are amazing but I can't disagree with those who are frustrated by it. Don't get your hopes up too soon. It takes a long time until it really works.
