I've just started taking Revlimid 5mg Capsules to treat multiple myeloma. I know it's a powerful drug, but the side effects list is quite scary. I'm particularly worried about the risk of infection, bleeding, and allergic reactions. Has anyone else taken this and can share their experience? How did you manage the side effects? Also, what are the chances of experiencing the more severe side effects like new cancers? I want to be as informed as possible.

I had some nerve damage symptoms, but my doctor adjusted my dose and it got better. It's a nightmare being so sensitive to touch, but I fight through.

If you're taking Revlimid for myelodysplastic syndromes, be extra vigilant with those electrolyte imbalances. I had some crazy cramps.

I guess I'm lucky, but I haven't had any major side effects yet. Just some fatigue and a bit of nausea. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I agree, regular blood work is crucial. I had some issues with my white blood cell count, but my doctor caught it early and adjusted my dose.

I know how scary it is, but there's a lot of support out there. I lurk around here to keep an eye on everyone and see the struggles I went through in my last treatments.

Doctors always say take it exactly as prescribed. I took it and got so ill that I had to stop taking it for awhile. Follow the doctors orders, its tough stuff!

New cancers? Holy crap. That's why I'm considering stopping the treatment. Has anyone had luck with other treatments?

I know it's tough, but Revlimid has been a lifesaver for many. Hang in there and keep the lines of communication open with your healthcare team.
