I was recently given Revonto 20mg, a Dantrolene injection, to treat a severe reaction to an anesthetic known as malignant hyperthermia. The doctor explained that it's used in emergencies to relax muscles and reduce body temperature. However, I'm concerned about the side effects. Has anyone experienced severe reactions or have advice on managing the potential side effects? I've heard horror stories about tissue damage if the medication leaks from the vein. I also want to be prepared for any allergic reactions. The list of possible side effects is extensive, and I want to be informed to handle any complication. Has anyone else been through this and can share their experience or tips on dealing with the aftermath?

I work in a hospital, and we have Revonto on standby for certain surgeries. It's scary how quickly malignant hyperthermia can set in. We've had to use it a few times, and the relief it brings is immediate, though the side effects can be tough to manage. Keep a close eye on any injection sites and report any issues immediately.

I know this is heavy stuff, but keep in mind that this medication is a lifesaver in extreme situations. The side effects are tough, but they're manageable with the right care. Hang in there, and remember, you're not alone.

I had a similar experience with Revonto. The main thing that stood out to me was the importance of immediate medical attention if you notice any signs of an allergic reaction. I had some hives and felt a tightness in my chest which was really scary. The medical team was great, but it was a harrowing experience overall.

You're absolutely right about the seriousness of this medication. Malignant hyperthermia is a severe condition. It can be fatal if not treated immediately. Dantrolene is often used in emergency situations. The side effects are intense, but if it’s a choice between those and death, well, you know what to choose right? Don't worry about reporting side effects, they are not absolutely rare, but they are serious enough you need to be in the hospital

Revonto saved my daughter's life during a routine surgery. The anesthesiologist was amazing and caught it right away. Her muscles were so tight, and her body temperature spiked. Dantrolene worked wonders, but she had some bad side effects like severe dizziness and a change in her voice. It was a tough few days, but she's doing better now. Just be prepared for the recovery process.

My brother experienced severe flushing and felt extremely sleepy after receiving Dantrolene. It was a rough time, but he made it through. Just be aware of how your body reacts and communicate openly with your medical team.

I had trouble swallowing after they gave me Dantrolene. It was really scary, but my medical team assured me it was a common side effect. Make sure you have a good support system around you if you ever have to go through this.

I thought I was having a heart attack when I got hives and my throat felt tight. The nurse said it was an allergic reaction to the Dantrolene. Scary stuff. Be prepared to act fast if you notice anything unusual.

This stuff is serious business. If you experience any signs of liver problems, get to the doctor ASAP. Yellow skin or eyes are not something to mess around with. Stay vigilant!

This thread is making me glad I never needed this stuff. I've seen videos of people completely seizing after anesthesia, and they have this handy dandy drug ready to go. It's like something out of a medical drama. The side effects sound terrifying. Be sure to report anything weird to your doctor; they have your back!
