Rinvoq 45mg ER Tablets: A Game-Changer for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease Patients? Share Your Experiences and Thoughts
Rinvoq (upadacitinib) 45mg ER Tablets have emerged as a promising medication for managing ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. By targeting specific enzymes in the immune system, Rinvoq helps reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms. However, like any medication, it comes with a range of potential side effects, from mild to severe. I've been taking Rinvoq for a few months now and have seen significant improvements, but I'm curious to hear from others. What are your experiences with Rinvoq? Have you faced any challenges or side effects? How does it compare to other treatments you've tried? Let's discuss the pros and cons, and share any tips or advice we have for managing this medication. Let's also talk about the FDA's reporting system for side effects — has anyone here reported their experiences back to them?

I started Rinvoq a few weeks ago and I'm already noticing a difference, but I'm worried about the long-term side effects. The potential for serious infections and liver problems is scary. Has anyone else looked into this further than the FDA guidelines?
I've had a great experience with Rinvoq so far. No serious side effects, and my ulcerative colitis symptoms are much better managed. I just wish the tablets were a bit cheaper. It’s a bit of a strain on the budget.
Just a heads up, don't take Rinvoq with antioxidants if you are on them for another medical reason. I found that they reduce the effectiveness of the Rinvoq, and it took a little while for my doctor to even catch it. I can't stress enough how important it is to go over your meds with your doctor before starting something new.
I had a bad reaction to Rinvoq. I started breaking out in hives and had trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER. I've since found another medication that works for me, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't spooked by the experience. I'd be careful with this one if you're starting it for the first time.
I wish my insurance covered Rinvoq. It's been a nightmare trying to get it approved. I feel like I've sent over every piece of evidence possible to justify why this is a more effective medication than the others I was going to have to go to. Is anyone else dealing with insurance troubles?
Rinvoq has definitely helped with my ulcerative colitis, but I've been dealing with some pretty severe headaches. I've talked to my doctor about it, and they suggested trying a lower dose to see if it helps. Fingers crossed! Also, I've been better about keeping track of when I'm supposed to take it, and I make sure to keep it out of the reach of kids. Since it's a tablet that is extended release, it can be really dangerous if swallowed by accident.
I've never experienced anything like this! I'm going to talk to my doctor because I'm curious about what it can do for me. It sounds like everyone has a different experience, but I'm hopeful.
I've been on Rinvoq for about 6 months and it's been a lifesaver. My Crohn's symptoms have dramatically reduced, and I haven't experienced any major side effects. It's been a game-changer for me. However, I did have to adjust the time I take the tablet to make sure I get well-rested sleep.
I switched from another biologics because of the injection pains, and I'm glad I did. Rinvoq is much easier to manage and the side effects are mild for me. Just ups and downs in bowel habits — nothing I can’t handle. I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it in my IBD support group.
I've been on Rinvoq for a while now, and while it has helped my Crohn's, I've been experiencing a lot of fatigue. I'm not sure if it's a side effect or just the Crohn's acting up. Any tips on managing fatigue while on this medication?
