I recently started taking Risperidone ODT 0.5mg Tablets for my anxiety and depression. I was very nervous, given the potential side effects. For the most part, I haven't had any issues. I did experience some drowsiness at first, but it seems to have eased off. Still, I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. What side effects have you experienced? Did things get better overtime? Any tips for managing them?

You're crazy if you think this stuff is safe. I know some bad things can happen

I had some sleeping problems at first. It took a while to find the right dosage, but it seems to be working well now. Try speaking to your physician about any issues.

I've been on the drowsy side of things. The tirdness made it hard to get tasks done but it seems like my brain is returning to normal. How does everyone else feel during the day?

I was really scared of the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. I talked to my doctor about all my concerns, and while he reassured me, I still keep an eye out for any strange symptoms. So far, so good.

I've been on Risperidone for a few months now, and I've had some weight gain but it's manageable. I try to stay active and watch my diet to combat it. My doctor suggested focusing on healthy habits to counteract it.

This massages your brain to make it rest. Its like when you're tired, you're brain is asking the body for rest, right? So this is the same concept.

I took it for a while and noticed no changes. They switched my dose and at first it didn't make a difference so I asked them if it was the right meds for me. Now I feel better.

I didn't feel any side effects, but it's always good to have your medical team watch your progress as you start new medication. Same thing happened to me when I tried out Wellbutrin
