Risperidone ODT 2mg Tablets are used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and irritability related to autism. The orally disintegrating tablet form dissolves quickly on the tongue, making it easier to take. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects. These range from minor issues to serious, life-threatening conditions. I've been taking it for a while and am curious to hear from others. What have your experiences been? Any tips for managing side effects?

I switched to the ODT form from regular tablets and it's a game-changer. No more swallowing giant pills! Just pop it on your tongue and it's gone in seconds.

Be very careful with this med. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital with Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. Scary stuff.

Has anyone else had issues with hormonal changes? I'm a guy and I've noticed some... changes that are pretty alarming. Not sure if it's the meds or something else.

Ugh, the weight gain is real. I've had to completely change my diet and start exercising regularly just to keep it under control. It's frustrating, but worth it for the stabilized moods.

I've been on Risperidone ODT for about a year now, and while it's helped with my bipolar symptoms, I've definitely noticed some weight gain. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do you have any advice on managing it?

The ODT form is convenient, but be careful. I had a friend who accidentally took a bunch because it dissolved so fast, took a few extra before realizing. Could've been a disaster.

I had a really bad experience with this med. I started getting these weird, uncontrollable movements in my face, I thought I was going nuts. Turns out it was tardive dyskinesia. Switched meds and the issue went away.
