I recently started treatment with Rituxan Hycela for my rheumatoid arthritis. It's been a few weeks now, and I wanted to start a discussion to share my experiences, hear from others, and maybe even pick up some tips. So far, I've had some irritation at the injection site and a bit of fatigue, but nothing too severe. I've been told it can take a few months to see significant improvements in symptoms. My doctor mentioned that this medication can have some serious side effects, so I'm being extra vigilant. I know others might have different experiences, so I'd love to hear about them. Has anyone else had mild or severe side effects? How do you manage them? Any tips for making the injection process easier? What were your first few weeks like?

I heard it works well for rheumatoid arthritis but it's also used for some cancers. Are there any studies that compare Rituxan Hycela to other treatments for those diseases?

I found out firsthand about the kidney problems. After some injections I had extreme fatigue and shortness of breath. Eventually diagnosed pneumonia, then kidney problems. If you feel unwell it's critical to see a doctor, even if it doesn't seem urgent. I was very close to a hospital stay

I've been on Rituxan Hycela for a few months now and haven't experienced any serious side effects so far. The injection site irritation is definitely bothersome, but nothing I can't handle. My doctor advised me to apply a cold compress to the injection site. Hope it never gets too bad! Fingers crossed!

Anyone have tips for dealing with the dizziness? I get it about an hour after the infusion, but it usually goes away after a couple of hours. My doctor says it's just a temporary side effect and to try to relax and rest. I must have high blood pressure as well.

I'm not sure how this stuff works, but cheers to everyone who is willing to try this medicine. It's a success for a lot of people.

I had a pretty bad reaction to Rituxan Hycela. I developed a severe rash and had to go to the ER. The doctors had to stop the infusion and give me steroids and Benadryl. I'm not sure if I'll try it again.

My doctor mentioned that Rituxan Hycela might cause some serious heart problems. Freaked me out, I was pretty close to an emergency.

Rituxan Hycela saved my life. I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and after trying other treatments this really did the trick. I did have some issues with infusion reactions at first, but my oncologist adjusted my pre-medication regimen, and I've had no problems since. It's been a game-changer for me. Stay positive!
