I recently started taking Rivastigmine 4.5mg Capsules for mild Alzheimer's. I've heard it can help with memory and daily functioning, but I'm also a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else tried this medication? How have you found it? Specifically, I'm curious about the common side effects like upset stomach and dizziness. Did you experience any of the serious side effects? Do you have any tips for managing the side effects? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any advice you might have.

I've been on Rivastigmine for about 6 months now. It's helped a bit with my memory, but the nausea was pretty bad at first. My doctor told me to take it with food, which helped a lot. Gave me a bit of dizziness too but nothing terrible.

Sounds like you're doing a lot of research. Always a good idea! I know someone who had some pretty severe side effects and had to stop. I'm really sorry this is a part of your life, getting this sort of help can be so difficult.

I started low on 1.5mg and upped it gradually. I agree, taking with food helps. My dad took it, really helped his thinking skills and was a very helpful addition to his care. Be patient though, it can take time to work and also to find the right dose.

I started taking this medication a few weeks ago and I’ve experienced some dizziness and a bit of nausea, but nothing too bad. How long does it usually take to see improvements in memory and cognitive function?

I've heard that the patch version can be less demanding on the digestive system. Have you tried the patch version?
