Rydapt 25mg Capsules: My Experience with FLT3+ AML Treatment
I've been taking Rydapt (midostaurin) for my acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with a FLT3 mutation. The medication has been a game-changer, but it's come with some side effects. I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who might be going through the same thing. How have others managed the side effects and what has been your overall experience with this treatment?

I read through the list of side effects and it's scary. Has anyone had to go to the ER due to these issues? I'm worried about the allergic reactions and kidney problems in particular. Does anyone know what the chances are of experiencing these severe effects?
I'm on my third month of Rydapt and it's been rough. I've had severe headaches and fatigue, but my doctor says it's normal. Anyone else having these side effects?
Rydapt is a lifesaver, but it's not easy. I had some really bad moments in the beginning, but the treatment has been effective so far. My doctor recommended managing the side effect by ensuring that I had enough rest and a balanced diet.
I've heard horror stories about some of the side effects, but I'm trying to stay positive. Just need to keep going until I'm cancer-free! Hope everyone else finds strength to continue their journey!
I've experienced some confusion and dizziness, but I'm managing. Anyone else dealing with these symptoms?
Just a heads up: I've found that keeping hydrated and eating small meals helped a lot with the nausea and vomiting. Also, my doctor recommended a mouth rinse to help with the mouth sores. It's a relief to know these tips work. Just don't give up and keep your doctor in the loop!
I think it's important to remember that everyone's experience is different. What works for one person might not work for another. Stick with your doctor, listen to their advice, and be patient with your body. You're not alone in this fight!
Rydapt has been a mixed bag for me. The nausea is horrible, but I've found that ginger tea and medicated lozenges help with the symptoms. I also had some flare-ups on my skin, but my dermatologist provided some topical treatment options that have helped a lot. It's all about finding what works for you.
