I've recently started using Retrovir 10mg/ml Inj, 20ml for my HIV treatment. It's an antiviral medicine that helps block a key enzyme the HIV virus needs to replicate, reducing the viral load and improving my immune system. I've also heard that it can prevent HIV transmission from mother to child during childbirth, which is great to know. However, I'm really concerned about the side effects, especially the severe ones like lactic acidosis, liver problems, and allergic reactions. Has anyone else on here had experience with these side effects, or any tips to manage them? And for those who have used it to prevent mother-to-child transmission, how was your experience? Let's share our stories to help others navigate this treatment.

Retrovir saved my life, literally. I was in a really bad shape when I started taking it. Don't underestimate its power to help people with HIV. Just be vigilant with the side effects.

I've been on Retrovir for a while and I can tell you, the severe side effects are rare but they are scary. I had some mild upset stomach and headaches at first but nothing too bad. Make sure to keep in touch with your doctor and report any unusual symptoms right away.

I was really worried about the side effects too but my doctor reassured me that most people don't experience the severe ones. Just make sure to stay hydrated and monitor your symptoms closely.

The side effects list is scary, but it's important to remember that everyone's experience is different. I've been on it for months and haven't had any major issues. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual and talk to your doctor if you're concerned.
