I've been prescribed Saxagliptin 2.5mg Tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes. I've been taking them for about a month now, but I'm starting to get a bit worried about the side effects. I've read the leaflet, and it seems like there are some pretty serious ones to watch out for. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? Any insights or advice?

I got a rash after a few days. Turned out it was an allergic reaction. I had to stop taking it.

Be careful with this one. My friend ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis after taking Saxagliptin. Definitely keep an eye out for those symptoms.

As a pharmacologist in a different life I can tell you, very rare, but Saxagliptin has been linked to heart failure in some patients, especially those with a history of heart issues. If you start feeling unusually fatigued or experience shortness of breath, seek medical help immediately. They'll likely monitor your kidney function too.

Has anyone else had issues with this medication causing UTIs? It's happened to me twice now, and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or something more.

I'm on Saxagliptin and Metformin. My doc said it's usually safe to take them together, but I've been having low blood sugar issues. Has anyone else had this happen?
