I've been using Scopolamine patches for air travel with great results. My doctor said to be cautious with the side effects, but so far, I haven't had any issues. I apply them behind my ear the night before travel and remove them after the flight is over
I had a bad experience. I started seeing things that weren't there. I had to get medical attention. Definitely speak to your doctor about these.

I want to use these patches for a long road trip but from the side effects it sounds like I could end up with a patch of skin falling off! And no hallucinations please.

I found the patch slightly irritating but overall it was fine. I didn't know about the severe stomach pain side effect though. Might have to keep an eye out for that.
