I've been prescribed Scopolamine transdermal patches for my upcoming surgery to prevent nausea and vomiting. I've applied the patch behind my ear and it seems to be working so far, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this medication? What was your experience like? I'm particularly concerned about the more severe side effects like hallucinations and memory loss. Are these common? Also, does anyone know how long it takes for the patch to start working? I'm feeling a bit anxious about the whole thing. Thoughts?

Be cautious! These things can really mess with your head. I had a friend who had hallucinations and it was terrifying.

I had a bad experience with Scopolamine. I got really confused and had trouble remembering things. It was scary. I had to stop using it. Be careful and talk to your doctor if you notice any weird symptoms.

People often don't realize that these patches can cause some pretty intense side effects. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly and know what to look out for.

I've used these patches for surgery and they worked fine but I had a bit of dizziness and dry mouth. I think it started working within a few hours but it varies. If you're anxious, maybe talk to your doctor about other options to help with the anxiety.

These patches saved me during a long car ride. No nausea, no vomiting, and no side effects. Just make sure you apply it correctly and keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms.

I had no side effects at all, but I did notice that the patch made my ear itch a bit. Nothing major, though. I also found that the patch started working within a couple of hours.

It's good that you are being vigilant with the dosing. You can also take Dramamine if you're getting nauseous. It can be administered orally and can help as well.

Scopolamine can cause some seriously strange side effects. I had a friend who started seeing things that weren't there. It was pretty freaky.

You can cut the patch in half if you are experiencing side effects and it seems like too strong of a dose. I did it and it seemed to help. Make sure you ask your doctor first. Be sure to remove the patch if you are experiencing any of the severe side effects.

I used these patches for a cruise and they worked great for my motion sickness. No side effects for me. Hope it goes well!
