I've been prescribed Selzentry 75mg (Maraviroc) as part of my HIV treatment regimen. It's interesting how it works by blocking the virus from entering healthy cells, which is different from many other HIV medicines. Does anyone have experience with this? Also, have you experienced any side effects or allergic reactions? I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects like Stevens-Johnson syndrome or Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis. I'm also aware it only works for a specific type of HIV-1, so curious if anyone had issues with the test to determine if it works for them.

Does anyone notice a difference in appetite? I'm feeling really hungry all the time...

One thing to be cautious about is the potential for severe skin reactions. I had a friend who had to stop taking Selzentry because of a severe skin reaction. If you experience any red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin, get to a doctor ASAP.

I had a severe allergic reaction to some HIV meds before, so I was really anxious about starting Selzentry. But so far, so good—no rash or hives. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I've been on Selzentry for about a year now, and while it has been effective in managing my viral load, I've had a few side effects. I experienced some dizziness at the start but that thankfully went away. Definitely stick with the doctor's advice and report any new symptoms.

I was actually surprised by how well I handled the side effects. Minor dizziness and some stomach pain, but nothing too bad. The biggest thing I learned was to pay attention to any changes in my skin. If you notice anything strange, don't wait—go see your doctor.
