I started taking Seroquel XR 50mg Tablets a few weeks ago for my bipolar disorder. So far, it seems to be helping with my mood swings, but I'm experiencing some drowsiness and dry mouth. Has anyone else had similar side effects? I'm wondering if I can expect these symptoms to go away with time or if I should mention anything to my doctor.

I've found that chewing sugar-free gum really helps with the dry mouth. Good luck!

I feel you on the mood swings. Sometimes I feel like I am really not in control. It's good to know you are okay though.

I had terrible trouble with Seroquel -- It made me gain a ton of weight. But the medication really helped my severe depression. You might want to talk to your doctor about a lower dosage or an alternative.

I tried Seroquel but ended up switching because of the side effects. Everyone's different, but it's worth considering a switch if it gets too much.
