I've been on Sevelamer Carbonate 800mg for a few months now, and while it's been helpful in managing my phosphorus levels, I've experienced some side effects that have me wondering if others are going through the same thing. I've heard it can cause some stomach issues, but I've also seen some serious side effects listed. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences and how you've managed them. Also, I'd love to hear from anyone who has insight into the long-term effects of this medication. Does anyone find it helpful to take with food, or does it matter for absorption? I'm on a dialysis schedule and need to optimize my medication intake.

Dialysis has been tough, but managing my phosphorus levels is crucial for my overall health. I've read that Sevelamer Carbonate binds to phosphorus in food, which helps keep my levels in a healthy range. However, the side effects can be quite disruptive. I've been dealing with some stomach pain and nausea, which can make workflow more challenging. Has anyone found a good way to mitigate these issues?

I also noticed that the list of potential side effects is quite extensive. While I understand that not everyone experiences all of these, I can't help but feel a bit anxious about what I might face as I continue with this medication. I feel it's important to educate others by sharing experiences. For example, keeping track of what you eat might help, or managing side effects by taking with food. I'd be interested to see what others think.

Be careful, though. I had a friend who had some pretty bad reactions to this medication. I can only imagine how uncomfortable this would be. If it's tolerable, it's pretty good at controlling phosphorus levels.

I've not had many issues but I do find I have to be careful about when I take the tablets. Taking them with a meal has been really helpful. I think it also helps me be consistent.

I've taken Sevelamer for two years now and I've noticed these side effects. However, the alternative is worse for my kidney health. While it can be tough, I like being able to eat normally. I've found that eating a lot of fiber also helps with the constipation.

I've been on Sevelamer for a while now, and I have had some stomach issues, too. I found that taking it with food really helps with the nausea. It's also important to stay hydrated.
