I have been prescribed paclitaxel 100mg for breast cancer treatment. The nurse said it could cause hair loss, nausea, and some other side effects. I'm curious to hear from anyone else who has taken this treatment. What was your experience like? How long did it take to recover from the side effects? Did you use any remedies or tricks to cope? I am also curious about the possible long-term effects. Could any of you who have completed this treatment share their experience and advice? I would appreciate any insight or recommendations on how to manage the side effects and the overall treatment process.

I had this for Kaposi's sarcoma and my oncologist prescribed some medication of steroids to help with the swelling and fluid retention. I have to admit that the side effects were a bit tough to deal with, but the medication was effective in treating the cancer. I would say that the overall experience was tough, but manageable. The swelling was the worst side effect for me, but it eventually went away once I finished the treatment.

I had a lot of trouble with nausea and vomiting. My doctor prescribed some antiemetic medication to help with that, but the nausea was so severe at first that I couldn't even keep down water. Eventually it got better as I kept taking the medication, but at the beginning it was pretty rough. Also try to eat bland foods and don't try to eat large meals. I started drinking ginger tea and ginger candies to help with the nausea. I also had a bit of hair loss, but it wasn't as bad as I expected.

I had this for lung cancer. One thing that helped me was to stay hydrated, eat light, and get as much rest as I could. I felt really weak most of the time, but I also had some good days too. Try to find things to do that make you happy and keep your spirits up. Also get support, both mental and physical. I hope this helps! You got this!

I went through this for ovarian cancer. Hair loss was the worst for me, but it grew back after treatment ended. Be prepared for some tough weeks, and be kind to yourself because you will need it.
