I've been prescribed Potassium Phosphate 3mm/ml Inj, 5ml to correct low levels of phosphate and potassium in my body. Phosphate is crucial for my bones, energy, and various bodily functions, while potassium is vital for my muscles and heart. This medication is administered intravenously (IV) and helps balance these levels back to normal. However, I've been hearing about some potentially severe side effects. Has anyone else taken this and experienced any adverse reactions? Is it common to feel those listed?!

This medication saved my life during my dialysis treatments. It's not fun to have an IV, but the benefits outweigh the discomfort. Just stay in touch with your medical team.

I had this after a bout of severe pancreatitis. The IV was uncomfortable, but the side effects were minimal for me. Just some stomach discomfort, nothing I couldn't handle. Hope you feel better soon!

Serious side effects can vary, but they are important to spot. For me, it was the shortness of breath and tightness in the chest. I immediately called my doctor, and they adjusted my treatment. It was scary, but catching it early made a big difference. I ended up not needing the medication long term.

I was worried about the side effects too. But after speaking to my nurse, I was reassured that they are pretty rare and can be managed. Just keep an eye out and don't hesitate to call the doctor if anything doesn't feel right. I had no issues.

I had some diarrhea and stomach pain but nothing too bad. Just keep hydrated and take it easy for a day or two. It should pass.

I had a bad reaction to the injection site. Redness and swelling were pretty intense. My nurse switched the IV site, and it got better. Just make sure to inform your nurse if you feel any discomfort at the site.
