I was given this for a severe infection. The diarrhea and stomach pain were awful, but it cleared up the infection quickly. Just be prepared for the side effects.
I had to take Vancomycin for a MRSA infection, and it was brutal. The side effects were intense, especially the red man syndrome. Definitely not a fun experience, but it worked.
I’ve seen this drug used in the hospital a lot. It’s a lifesaver for severe infections, but the nursing staff always has to be super careful with the infusion rate to avoid those nasty side effects.
I had a bad reaction to Vancomycin years ago. The swelling and shortness of breath were scary. Definitely need to be in a monitored setting when taking this.
Just wanted to add that it’s crucial to report any side effects. I had a mild reaction, and the doctors were able to adjust the dosage to make it more bearable.
Just had a friend go through this. The worst part was the constant monitoring for kidney issues. It’s amazing how powerful this drug is, but the risks are real.
I’ve heard horror stories about this drug. I’m glad it works, but the side effects sound terrible. Anyone had a positive experience with it?
This drug saved my life, but the side effects were terrifying. The rash and itching were the worst. A bit scary, but I got through it.
