I've had UTIs in the past but currently dealing with some nerve problems. I was recently told by a specialist that people with nerve problems should avoid this drug due to the risk of worsening nerve problems.
I had a really bad allergic reaction to these. I broke out in hives all over my body and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER and get treated with epinephrine. I'm glad I didn't ignore the symptoms.
I took these for a UTI last year. I had some stomach upset at first, but taking them with food helped a lot. No other side effects for me.
I've taken these a few times and never had any major issues. Just some mild headache and diarrhea, but nothing too bad. Make sure to finish the whole course even if you feel better. I had a friend who stopped taking them when she felt better and the UTI came back with a vengeance.
Ugh, I hate UTIs. I've had them before and my doctor prescribed me these. I had a hard time swallowing them due to their size. Does anyone have any tricks to make them go down easier?
Be careful, I had a really bad reaction to these. I ended up in the ER with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Turns out it was pancreatitis. Scary stuff!
I've been on these for a few days now and I've noticed some numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. It's not terrible, but it's definitely there. I'm going to call my doctor about it tomorrow. I consider myself lucky though, I've known people who had to go to the ER for nerve problems.
My doc prescribed these for my elderly mother who has kidney problems, but the pharmacist said that was a no-no due to the risk of toxic buildup. So, just a heads up to anyone with kidney issues to be cautious with this medication.
I took these for a UTI and my urine turned brown! I freaked out, but my doctor said it was just a harmless side effect. It was still weird though.
