I recently started using Nystatin/Triamcinolone Ointment to treat a persistent fungal infection with inflammation on my skin. The ointment seems to be helping with both the infection and the redness, but I'm curious about others' experiences and any potential side effects or tips for using it effectively. It contains Nystatin, which treats fungal infections like yeast, and Triamcinolone, a steroid that helps reduce redness, swelling, and itching. It's used to treat skin conditions that have both inflammation and a fungal infection. I've heard it can cause some side effects, so I'd love to hear from anyone who has used it and can share their story. I am new to this medication and want to make sure I am using it correctly. The doctor gave me a 30gm tube and I am wondering if anyone knows how often to apply it to avoid excessive use. Thanks!

I can't believe how fast this worked. Used it on a stubborn yeast infection and it was gone in 3 days. Side effects were minimal, just some skin dryness.

Be careful with this stuff. I used it on a yeast infection and it cleared it up but I gained some weight around my middle. Not sure if it was from the ointment or not, but I am avoiding steroids now.

I'm not a doctor, but I had a friend who used this and experienced some thinning of the skin. It's a bit worrying, but the ointment did clear up the infection. The doctor said it's just something to keep an eye on and that the skin should return to normal after stopping the medication.

I had a really bad reaction to this ointment. I developed a rash and itching all over my body. Turns out I was allergic to the triamcinolone. If you start feeling worse, stop using it and see your doctor immediately. I had to switch to a different treatment.

I've heard that some people experience a burning sensation. How common is this and does it go away?

I've been using this ointment for a few weeks now and it's been a lifesaver for my athlete's foot. The itching has significantly reduced and the redness is almost gone. Just make sure to apply it as directed by your doctor to avoid any side effects.

This ointment is a lifesaver but it makes my skin look so weird. I feel like a lizard all dried out. Someone help me!

This stuff is a godsend for diaper rash in babies. I had my doubts using steroids on a baby but the pediatrician said it was fine and it cleared up right away, but we monitored for any of the rare side effects.
