I've been on these for years and haven’t had any major issues. Just remember to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter. Stay hydrated and communicate with your doctor regularly.
I was on Hydromorphone for a while and the constipation was brutal. Laxatives became a part of my daily routine. Also, make sure to avoid alcohol, it can be dangerous.
I can't believe some people still think opioids are safe for casual use. These are serious meds with serious risks. Please, only use them if absolutely necessary and under strict medical supervision.
I had to switch to a different opioid because the Hydromorphone made me extremely drowsy and confused. If you start feeling disoriented, talk to your doctor ASAP. The risks are real, but so are the benefits when managed properly.
