Methotrexate is one of the toughest medications I’ve ever taken, but it's been effective for my RA. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body. But seriously, don’t skimp on those follow ups.
I was really nervous about the side effects, especially the hair loss. It’s been manageable, but I’ve found that using gentle shampoo and conditioners helped a lot. It’s all part of the process, I guess.
Ask your doctor about getting your bloodwork done regularly. It’s important to monitor your liver and kidney function. Don’t skip the appointments, no matter how tired you feel.
I take Methotrexate for my RA and the worst part is the nausea. I found that eating small, frequent meals and drinking ginger tea helped a lot. Also, I got a cool gel mattress pad to help with my achy joints while sleeping
