I recently started using Anktiva 400mcg/0.4ml Solution Sdv to treat my bladder cancer, which hasn't responded well to BCG treatment. It's an immunotherapy given directly into the bladder through a catheter. I'm curious to hear from others who have gone through similar treatments. What have your experiences been like? How do you manage the side effects, especially the more serious ones? Any tips for making the process easier would be greatly appreciated.

I had a really bad allergic reaction during my first treatment. It was terrifying— swelling, rash, the whole nine yards. Luckily, I was in the hospital and they knew what to do. If you notice anything like that, get to the ER immediately.

I’ve had some serious side effects, but my doctor explained that the body needs to adjust to the immunotherapy. It’s worth it if it means fighting the cancer. Have you all had any breakthroughs or improvements in your condition?

I've been on this for a couple of months and the side effects have been manageable so far. Just keep pushing through and don't let the small stuff get you down. You're fighting a battle!

I've been on Anktiva for a few months now and the bladder irritation has been rough. Drinking lots of water helps, but I still get some burning sensations. Just hang in there, it gets better over time.
