I've recently started my child on Benznidazole 12.5mg tablets to treat Chagas disease. The doctor was very clear that it's crucial to finish the entire course even if symptoms improve. Has anyone else gone through this treatment? I'm curious about your experiences, especially regarding side effects. I've read about some serious ones, like severe skin reactions and nerve problems, but also some milder issues. The doctor said these side effects can vary greatly, but I’m feeling a bit anxious. How did you manage any side effects that came up? Did you notice that they went away after stopping the medication? And how did you handle the full course of treatment? Any tips or stories would be really helpful!

Benznidazole was a game-changer for my sister. She had Chagas for a while and was constantly tired. The treatment was intense, but she finished it and now feels so much better. Definitely worth it.

Honestly, the severe side effects scared me, but my doctor assured me they are rare. Just make sure to contact them immediately if anything serious comes up. Stay vigilant, but try not to worry too much.

Nerve problems can be tricky. I read that they might linger for a while, even after finishing the course. But as we know, every case is different, so stay positive and trust your doc.

My kiddo took Benznidazole last year. The first few weeks were tough with stomach upset, but it eased off. Just stick to the doctor's advice and keep monitoring.
