I recently started taking Buphenyl 500mg Tablets to manage my urea cycle disorder, and I've had mixed experiences with it. The medication has helped a lot with ammonia levels, but I've also encountered some side effects that I wasn't expecting. I've noticed changes in body odor and a bad taste in my mouth, which can be really distracting. I've also felt more tired than usual and had some issues with dizziness and headaches. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken Buphenyl 500mg and how they've managed these side effects. Has anyone else experienced these issues, or do you have any tips for dealing with them?

The side effects are rough, but they are manageable. I take my Buphenyl 500mg with food and avoid any heavily processed foods. Definitely talk to your doctor about it. You may be able to adjust the dosage or timing.

I've been on Buphenyl 500mg for a few months. My doctor mentioned the muscle pain and cramps are due to electrolyte problems. I started drinking electrolyte drinks regularly. Doesn't feel great, but better than having too much ammonia in my system.

Dude, I switched to liquid Buphenyl for these exact reasons. It's easier to swallow and you can mix it with orange juice or something tasty.

I think people are too quick to judge these meds. If it helps with ammonia levels, it's worth it in the end.

I don't know if I can deal with this bad taste. I’m trying to stick it out, but it’s really tough.

What kind of diet do you all follow while on Buphenyl? I've been trying to figure out the best way to manage my urea cycle disorder without feeling constantly sick.

Has anyone else felt extremely tired or weak while taking this medication? It's been hard to keep up with daily activities, but I don't want to stop taking the medication because it's working so well.

I've been on Buphenyl for a while, and the changes in body odor can be tough. I've found that taking a shower more frequently and using a strong deodorant helps a lot. It's worth mentioning these issues to your doctor, as they might be able to provide additional tips. I’ve also started a low-protein diet by recommendation of my doctor. It helps too

Buphenyl 500mg has been a lifesaver for me, but the side effects can be tough. I've found that staying hydrated and eating smaller, more frequent meals helps with the dizziness and headaches. Also, keeping some chewing gum handy can help with the bad taste in your mouth – mint works best for me!
