I've been prescribed Felbamate Os 600mg/5ml Suspension for my epilepsy, and while it's helping control my seizures, I'm concerned about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? How have you managed any adverse reactions? I'm particularly worried about the risk of suicidal thoughts and actions. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard it can be rough on the liver. Make sure to get regular blood tests!

The suicidal thoughts are a real concern. I've had a few close calls but staying in touch with my therapist and family has been a lifesaver. If you're struggling, reach out to someone immediately.

I'm just glad there's finally a medication that works for my seizures. The side effects are manageable compared to the alternative.

I read about someone having a severe allergic reaction. Take it slow when you start and be extra cautious with any new symptoms.

I switched to Felbamate when my other meds stopped working. The first few weeks were tough with anxiety and mood swings, but it got better. Keep an open line of communication with your doctor about how you're feeling.

Felbamate was a last resort for me after other drugs failed. I've had some balance issues and changes in vision, but my neurologist is monitoring it closely. It's a balancing act between controlling seizures and managing side effects. I've found that regular check-ins with my doctor and sticking to a consistent dosage schedule has helped.

This medication saved my life, but it's a constant balancing act. Just wish there were more options for people like us.

Be very careful with this medication. My friend had a bad reaction and ended up in the hospital. The side effects are no joke.
