I was recently prescribed Felodipine 5mg ER Tablets for high blood pressure and I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. My doctor explained that it belongs to a class of drugs called calcium channel blockers and that it works by relaxing blood vessels, which allows blood to flow more easily and lowers blood pressure. Has anyone else had success with this medication? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any side effects you may have experienced and how you managed them. Any tips or advice on dealing with potential side effects like headaches or gum changes would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know if the side effects are temporary or if they persist over time?

I’ve had to deal with swelling in my ankles and legs. It’s not fun, but my doctor reassured me that it’s a common side effect and should go away over time. I just elevate my feet when I can and try to walk around a bit more.

I'm surprised more people don't talk about it. I think it's a great medication, but it doesn't come without some anxiety. You have to be ready for the possibility of serious side effects, but it's been worth it for me so far.

Gum changes are pretty common with this medication. My dentist recommended a certain type of toothpaste and a water flosser which helped a lot.

Felodipine is a great medication, but it is definitely not for everyone. Always be cautious and you will be okay.

Always felt like I was on a rollercoaster with this medication. My blood pressure was all over the place, but it took a while to figure out the right dosage. Once we adjusted, things got a lot better. Just be patient and keep talking to your doctor.

I heard that Felodipine can cause swelling in the legs. Have any of you experienced this?
