Hello everyone, I started using Humulin 70/30 recently for my diabetes management and I've had some mixed experiences. Does anyone else use this mixture of NPH and Regular insulin? I'm curious to hear about your experiences, especially regarding side effects and how you manage them. I've noticed a bit of weight gain and some irritation at the injection site, but I'm wondering if anyone has tips on how to minimize these issues.

I switched to Humulin 70/30 from another insulin and it took a while to get used to the new timing and doses. But now that I’ve got it figured out, my blood sugar levels have stabilized. Just stick with it and work with your doctor to find the right balance. Also, keep some glucose tabs on hand—low blood sugar can sneak up on you!

I struggle with the injection site pain. I've tried different techniques and even warming the area before injecting, but it's still tough. Anyone else have tips for making it less painful?

I've been on Humulin 70/30 for a few years now and it's been pretty effective for me. The weight gain is a bit annoying, but I've managed to keep it under control with a balanced diet and regular exercise. Make sure you're eating right and staying active!

Make sure to rotate your injection sites to avoid irritation. I switch between my stomach, thighs, and upper arms. It's made a big difference for me.

Has anyone had issues with swelling in the arms or legs? I've noticed some mild swelling recently and I'm not sure if it's related to the Humulin 70/30 or something else. Any insights?

I actually prefer the 3ml cartridge. It’s easier to handle and less stressful than dealing with smaller doses.

Humulin 70/30 has been a game-changer for me. I used to have crazy blood sugar spikes, but since switching, it's been much more manageable. I even feel less tired these days, when I was constantly feeling sleepy before.

I had an allergic reaction to it once, but after switching to a different injection site, it never happened again. I have to keep my insulin at room temp too. Also, keep an eye out for any signs of infection at the injection site—better safe than sorry!

Best advice is to keep track of your blood sugar levels constantly. If you notice any sudden changes, don’t hesitate to call your doctor. Better to be safe than sorry!
