Sharing experiences with Nexplanon 68mg Implant: What to expect?
Hey everyone, I'm considering getting the Nexplanon implant for birth control. I've read up on it and it seems great, but I want to hear from people who have actually used it. Can anyone share their experiences? What were the insertion process and side effects like? How has it affected your periods and overall health? Also, how has it been removed? I want to know it all! Thanks in advance.

mine was inserted last week, I was a bit nervous but it was fine. I was surprised by how quickly the doctor put it in, but the area was a bit sore for a couple of days. I've read about the potential side effects, so I'm keeping an eye on any changes in my body.
I got it removed after 2 years because I wanted to try and have a baby. The removal was so easy, and I didn't have any issues. My periods returned to normal pretty quickly too. I miss how convenient it was, but I'm glad I switched to something else.
I got Nexplanon last year and initially experienced some pretty bad acne. I thought I'd have to deal with it, but my doctor prescribed a topical cream and it cleared up pretty quickly. Be prepared for some possible skin changes, but it's manageable. I can't believe how easy it is to forget I even have it in there!
I've been on Nexplanon for almost 2 years now. My biggest complaint is the irregular bleeding. It's not horrible, but it's annoying. Other than that, it's been fine. I really like not having to think about birth control every day.
I had Nexplanon for three years and it was a game-changer for me. No more worrying about pills or condoms, and my periods became super light. I did have some mood swings initially, but they went away after a few months. Removal was a breeze, took like 2 minutes, and I didn't feel a thing. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a low-maintenance birth control option.
I've heard horror stories about the weight gain and mood swings. Has anyone else experienced this?
Nexplanon is great because it's so low maintenance. I've had it for a year and a half, and I almost forget it's there. I did have some mood swings at first, but they've leveled out now. It's worth talking to your doctor about any concerns you have.
I've had Nexplanon for about 6 months now and I am really happy with it. I had some initial spotting but that stopped after a few weeks. My periods are much lighter and less painful. I’m so glad I made the switch from the pill.
