I was recently prescribed Nifedipine 90mg ER (xl/osm) Tablet for my high blood pressure and chest pain. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. How has it worked for you? What side effects have you experienced, if any? I've read about some serious side effects, so I'm a bit nervous. Any advice or personal stories would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed some minor constipation, but nothing too bad. My doctor said it's a common side effect and to just make sure I stay hydrated and eat plenty of fiber. It's better than the chest pain I was experiencing before!

I've been on Nifedipine for about a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my blood pressure. I did have some dizziness and flushing when I first started, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day!

Be prepared for the flushing—it’s a bit of an adjustment. However, I've definitely seen an improvement in my blood pressure. I just have to remember to take it every day at the same time.

I had an allergic reaction to it. I woke up with a rash and felt like my throat was closing. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I hadn’t gotten to the ER on time. It’s scary. I switched to something else and I’m doing better.

I noticed the tablet shell in my stool the first time I took it. I freaked out and called my doctor, but they said it's normal. Anybody else have this experience?

Relax, folks. Serious side effects are rare. Usually, you'll get some mild flushing or a bit of dizziness. Just follow the doctor's advice and you'll be fine. If you really think something's wrong, go to the ER!

If you're on this med, keep a journal of your symptoms and side effects. It helped my doctor adjust my dosage and symptoms were much better controlled.
