I've been prescribed Sensipar 60mg Tablets to manage my overactive parathyroid glands due to kidney disease. I'm looking for others who have used this medication and can share their experiences. How have you found it in terms of effectiveness and side effects? Specifically, I'm curious about the risk serious issues like low calcium levels or allergic reactions. What have your doctors said about monitoring and managing these risks? Have any of you experienced more mild side effects, like dizziness or headaches, and how did you cope? Any tips or warnings would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been on Sensipar for a while now, and it’s been a game-changer for me. My PTH levels have stabilized, and I haven’t had any serious side effects. Just occasional dizziness, which goes away if I drink more water.

I’ve heard this medicine can cause joint pain. Has anyone experienced that and what did you do about it?

I’ve had pre-existing heart issues and was worried about worsening heart failure, but as long as you monitor your symptoms and keep your doctor in the loop, it’s manageable. Stay on top of things and you’ll be fine.

The thought of low calcium levels scares me, but my doctor keeps a close eye on it. Regular check-ups and staying aware of what to look for has helped a lot. Plus, the Sensipar has controlled my PTH levels, so I'm grateful for that.

I wish I had some good news, but Sensipar was a nightmare for me. I started getting severe muscle cramps and numbness, so my doctor had to switch me to something else. Definitely talk to your doctor about any unusual symptoms.

I’m not on it yet, but my doctor mentioned it. I’m terrified of the allergic reaction symptoms. How do you manage that fear?

I had awful stomach issues at first, but my doctor adjusted the dosage, and it’s much better now. Just a word of caution: stay hydrated, it can do a number on your system.
