I've recently been prescribed Somavert 10mg for acromegaly and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the possible side effects. I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication. What has your experience been like? Have you encountered any of the more serious side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I'm particularly worried about the liver problems and high blood pressure warnings. Any advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

This stuff is a godsend. It's the only thing that's worked for me and I feel so much better. Just make sure you're being safe and listening to your body. Hopefully, you get the same benefits I have.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, just remember that your doctor prescribed this for a reason. It's supposed to help you in the long run. So, even if the side effects are a bit tough, it could be worth it. But make sure you're staying informed and listening to your body.

I had a bad reaction at first. I was swelling up like a balloon. I went straight to the doctor and he adjusted my dosage. I would recommend anyone starting this to go in regularly and let them know if you feel off. Also, keep an eye out for changes in your skin. I’ve seen lumps that shouldn't be there.

People worry too much about the side effects. My doctors have been monitoring me closely. I’ve had no liver problems or any other issues. Regular check-ups are the key though.

I've had back pain and diarrhea and it is really uncomfortable. I’m now drinking lots of water and eating more fiber. Also, I ask for a prescription for my painkillers and it really helps.

I was really worried about the liver issues too, but my doctor assured me that it's rare. They ran some tests beforehand and have been monitoring me closely. So far, so good. Just make sure you're getting regular check-ups and communicating openly with your healthcare team. Finger's crossed for you.

I've had flu-like symptoms and upset stomach during the first few weeks but it has seemed to get better over time. The doc told me to keep an eye out for the serious signs and to call him if they happened. I've got another appointment soon so I will ask for more advice then. Stay strong!
