I was recently prescribed Xenazine 12.5mg tablets to manage the chorea symptoms of Huntington's disease. I've been taking them for a few weeks now and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. What side effects have you encountered? Has anyone found any strategies to mitigate the more common side effects like drowsiness or fatigue? Are there any dietary considerations or lifestyle changes that have helped? I'd love to hear any tips or warnings from those who have been on this journey.

Just started Xenazine last week and my body feels so stiff. Anyone else experience that?

I had a bad reaction to Xenazine and had to stop taking it. I don't want to scare anyone, but if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, seek medical help immediately.

I was really scared of the potential serious side effects, but luckily I haven't experienced any of those. Just some mild dizziness and a bit of anxiety, and the doctor says it's not too bad.

I've been on Xenazine for about six months. The drowsiness was tough at first, but it's gotten better over time. Make sure to stay hydrated and take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. But be careful with the dizziness...I actually ended up falling down a few times

Xenazine has helped a lot with my movements, but I've also had some issues with dizziness. I always have to be cautious when I move around.

I've found that taking Xenazine in the evening helps with the drowsiness. I just have to be careful about taking it too late because it can cause trouble sleeping.
