Sharing my experience with Augmentin 125mg/5ml Susp 100ml – side effects and how I dealt with them

I had to deal with a bad rash on Augmentin. I called my doctor right away and he warned me to watch out for dangerous allergies. Luckily, I didn't need to get to the hospital because it cleared up after I stopped taking it. I'm hoping that was a rare case – what was your experience with the rash if you had any?

I had a really bad reaction to Augmentin. I woke up with blisters all over my body and my eyes were so irritated. I went to the ER and they told me it was Stevens-Johnson syndrome. I had to stop taking it immediately. It was terrifying, but I'm okay now. This is super dangerous and rare but please be cautious.

I had a mild case of vomiting and diarrhea. I took it easy, drank plenty of fluids, and it passed. I couldn't believe how fast my body reacted to the medication, it was pretty intense.

Ugh, my kid had diaper rash while on this. It was tough, but we managed with some ointment. Driving back and forth to the pediatrician was a nightmare. So glad my son was okay in the end. Hope your treatment goes well!

I took this antibiotic for an ear infection and experienced severe stomach pain and cramps. I went to the ER and they diagnosed me with C. diff-associated diarrhea (CDAD). It was scary, but I'm fine now. Be sure to contact your doctor if you have severe stomach issues. It's important not to hesitate, Antibiotics can kill a lot of good bacteria so make sure to stay hydrated and eat well to help your body fight the infection.

I had some mild diarrhea while on Augmentin, but nothing too bad. I just made sure to drink lots of water and eat probiotic yogurt. Make sure to talk to your doctor if things get worse!

My doctor warned me about the potential for severe allergic reactions. I'm glad I know the signs to look out for. I'm taking this for a skin infection and I've been fine so far. But I know if you have allergies or unusual reactions in your family, be very cautious.

I'm on day 3 of Augmentin and so far, so good. No side effects yet, but I'm keeping an eye out for any allergic reactions. Fingers crossed I don't have any issues!
