I've been prescribed Haldol 10mg tablets to manage my schizophrenia, and I've been on it for about a month now. It seems to be helping with the hallucinations and delusions, but I've been experiencing some side effects like drowsiness and dry mouth. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for dealing with the side effects. Do any of you have experience with other medications that might work better for this condition? I also was wondering if it's normal to have some of these side effects. I'm a bit worried and want to know if there are any other remedies that I might find helpful.

I’ve been on Haldol for a while and it's really helped with my symptoms. The side effects can be tough, but they're manageable. My doctor recommended a few lifestyle changes that have helped a lot with the drowsiness and dry mouth. Make sure to mention everything that bothers you. I think it can be a bit uncomfortable, but doctors are there to help us! Plus, it's good to get into the habit of being honest with yourself. It'll make it a lot easier to navigate life, in the long run, so good luck!

My friend took Haldol, and it really helped her manage her symptoms. She had some weight gain, but everything else seemed fine. I guess it just depends on the person. But if you're feeling unsure, then I think it's a good idea to consult a doctor and get their professional opinion.

I feel you on the dry mouth. Chewing gum helped me a lot, and hard candy or even mints work. Plus, if you don't mind a slightly old-fashioned remedy, lemon juice in a glass of water is good too. Just be sure to visit your doctor if anything feels too intense.

I’ve been on Haldol for a few months and it’s been a game-changer. I have had some side effects, but my psychiatrist said they should ease up over time. If you're worried, I would strongly suggest talking to your doctor. Your health is important, and it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I've been on Haldol for a few years now, and it's really helped control my symptoms. The drowsiness can be tough, but it gets better over time. Just be careful with sunlight and make sure to drink lots of water for the dry mouth.

I switched to Abilify after experiencing some serious side effects with Haldol. It's worked much better for me, but everyone's different. Definitely talk to your doctor about it.
