I've been prescribed Phenobarbital 20mg/5ml Solution to help manage my seizures, and I must say, it's been a mixed experience. On one hand, it's definitely helped control my seizures, but on the other, I've had some side effects. I've noticed feeling dizzy and sleepy for the better part of the day. The doctor said these could be some of the side effects of the medication so I have learned to navigate the symptoms. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences, been through the same thing or has advice so I know what to expect. I've also heard about some really serious side effects, but I haven't experienced any of those yet. Fingers crossed I don't! I'm curious to know how others have found phenobarbital. Has anyone had to switch to a different medication due to side effects? I'd love to know more about other people's experiences with this medication.

I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't had any side effects from this medication. It seems like everyone else is having a rough time. I hope everyone else finds a solution to their problems. I feel lucky to have not had any problems.
I've had a rough time with Phenobarbital too. I've experienced some of the more severe side effects like hallucinations and muscle spasms. It was terrifying, and I had to go to the ER. I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this. I wish the doctor had warned me more about these side effects before I started taking them.
I'm really struggling with the side effects of this medication. I've had to take time off work because of the dizziness and sleepiness. I hope everyone else finds a solution to their problems.
I've been on Phenobarbital for a few months now, and I haven't experienced any side effects yet. I'm just taking it as prescribed and I'll hope for the best. I hope this stays the case. I won't be able to handle it if I start feeling more tired.
I've had some really bad side effects from this medication. I've had to go to the hospital a few times because of the severity of the side effects. I wish I had known about the side effects before I started taking this medication. I would have looked into other medications.
