Sharing my experience with Viramune 50mg/5ml Oral Suspension for HIV-1 treatment
I've been taking Viramune 50mg/5ml Oral Suspension for a few months now to treat my HIV-1 infection. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster, to be honest. The medication has definitely helped reduce the viral load, but I've had some side effects that have been tough to deal with. I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who might be going through the same thing. Have any of you experienced severe side effects like kidney problems or allergic reactions? I know these are rare, but it's always good to be prepared. Also, how have you all managed the more common side effects like upset stomach and muscle pain?

I've had to watch out for changes in my urine output. It's a bit scary, but my doctor said it's something to keep an eye on. No issues so far, thankfully.
I'm worried about the kidney problems. Anyone else have issues with that?
I was nervous about starting this medication, but my doctor assured me that while the side effects can be scary, they are manageable. Just be sure to report anything unusual to your doctor immediately.
I had a minor allergic reaction when I started Viramune. It was mainly itching and a rash, but I got checked out right away. My doctor said it happens to some people and switched me to a different antiviral.
I've had an upset stomach pretty much every time I take it, especially on an empty stomach. I found that taking it with a meal helps a lot.
I've noticed a few changes in my body fat distribution since starting Viramune. It's not super noticeable, but it's there. Anyone else experience this?
Viramune has been a lifesaver for me, but the flu-like symptoms were intense the first couple of weeks. I had to take it easy at work. My doctor warned me about the potential for severe side effects, so I was always on the lookout.
I had no idea that my immune system could react so strangely to this medication. I developed a weird rash all over my body. It was terrifying, but my doctor said it was a common reaction and managed it with some cortisone cream.
I've been on Viramune for a year now, and while it's managed my HIV well, the side effects were brutal at first. I had severe flu-like symptoms and joint pain. My doctor adjusted the dosage, and it got better.
