I started taking Zarontin 250mg/5ml Solution a few months ago to manage my absence seizures. I've had a mixed experience so far, and I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. It's been effective in reducing the frequency of my seizures, but I've also experienced some side effects like dizziness and fatigue. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and if there are any tips for managing them. I also want to discuss the more serious side effects listed and how to recognize them. Has anyone else had any bad experiences with this medication or have any warnings to share?

How do you guys handle the fatigue? It's been really hard for me to stay awake during the day. I'm considering talking to my doctor about adjusting the dosage.

I took Zarontin for a while, but the side effects were unbearable. I ended up switching to another medication. Just be aware that everyone's experience can be different. It's important to communicate with your doctor about any issues.

I had a bad reaction to Zarontin initially. My whole body broke out in hives, so I couldn't take it. I was very worried since the symptoms were so overwhelming. I have seen some of the mechanism of actions for anti-convulsants in the past. My doctor said its a rare reaction, but I'm glad I was monitored and acted on the reaction quickly. Do you guys have any advice for when you start a new medication as far as what to look out for?

I've been on Zarontin for over a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my absence seizures. I didn't experience any of those serious side effects, but I did have some dizziness at first. My doctor advised me to take it with food, and that helped a lot.

I've heard that Zarontin can cause trouble sleeping. I'm currently on it and I've been feeling more tired than usual, but not terrible. Any tips on getting better sleep? I'd appreciate some help.

Zarontin has been a lifesaver for me, but I did experience some hallucinations at the start. It was pretty scary, but my doctor adjusted the dosage, and it got better. Definitely talk to your doctor about any weird symptoms.

Just a reminder to everyone, if you experience any severe side effects like hallucinations or changes in behavior, seek medical help right away. Safety first!

I've been lucky with Zarontin so far. My doctor recommended taking it with a meal and it has reduced the dizziness. I'm very impressed with the seizure relief too. I also keep a sleep journal, I think it helps a lot with giving my doctor an idea of my progress, along with the positive side that my absence seizures are almost completely gone now. I take it twice a day, I think the timing is also very important.

I've been on this medication for a few months now, and I've noticed some changes in my coordination. It's not too bad, but it's noticeable. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.
