I recently had a medical procedure where Sensorcaine Mpf 0.75% Inj, 30ml was used to numb the area. I was awake but the area was completely numb, which was great. However, I'm concerned about the potential side effects listed. Some of them are really serious, like methemoglobinemia and acidosis. Has anyone else had experience with this drug? Did you experience any side effects? I'm trying to figure out if these are common or if I should be really worried.

I had this for a surgery and didn't experience any major side effects but I remember feeling really weak and dizzy for a few hours after. Is that normal?

I worked in a hospital and saw a few cases of methemoglobinemia. It's rare but can happen. If you experience any blue discoloration or severe headache, go to the ER immediately. Better safe than sorry.

I had a similar experience, felt a bit dizzy and had a metallic taste in my mouth for a while then it went away. I thought it was just part of the process. It's definitely worth discussing with your doctor if you feel something is amiss, even if it ends up being something minor.

I had a really bad reaction to this drug during a minor procedure. I started wheezing and my throat felt tight. The doctor had to stop the procedure and give me something else. It was scary, but I'm glad they caught it in time. I had to make sure they document it in my file so it won't happen again.

I've had it for dental work. I could tell it was working, but I didn't notice any side effects then or later. The numbing part is great, but I get how the side effects can be scary when you look into them.
