I've been taking Gavilax Powder (Polyethylene Glycol 3350) for occasional constipation, and I've recently been worried about the potential severe side effects. I've read that it can cause things like rectal bleeding, severe dizziness, and even an allergic reaction. Has anyone else experienced any of these symptoms? I want to know if these are rare or if anyone else has had similar issues. It's also concerning to see that it can cause diarrhea, which seems counterproductive for a laxative. Has anyone reported these side effects to the FDA or their doctor? I'm really nervous about continuing this medication. Does anyone have any other recommendations or tips for managing constipation?

I had terrible stomach cramps when I started taking Gavilax Powder. It was so bad I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I stopped taking it and the cramps went away. I didn't experience any of the severe side effects, but the cramps were so bad I didn't want to risk it.

I switched to Gavilax from a different laxative because it was easier to take. I just mix it with some water and drink it. I haven't had any issues with it, but I do have quite a sensitive stomach. I'll be careful to look out for any of the side effects you mentioned.

I've been on Gavilax for a few months now and haven't had any issues. It works well for me, but I did have to switch from the powder to the liquid form because the powder was hard to mix with water. But its been great.

I've had terrible bloating and gas since I started taking Gavilax. It's been making social situations really awkward. I'm not sure if I should stop taking it or switch to something else. I'm definitely going to talk to my doctor about this though.
